Activities & Timeline

EDU-DOCS unfolds through a sequence of international meetings, collaborative workshops, creative labs, and dissemination activities that connect schools, educators, students, and partner organisations across Europe. The project timeline combines practical training, documentary-based learning, immersive storytelling, and public presentation, creating a shared framework for educational innovation and meaningful participation.

November 2025

1st partner meeting

Kick-off meeting focused on project launch, alignment, planning, and shared methodology.

Spring 2026

Phase 3: Emotional Storytelling & Mental Health

Action 3: “Media for Mindfulness” hosted by Socialability SAS. Participants include 3 educators, 50 students, psychologists, and youth workers. Deliverables include five educational modules on mental health and mindfulness, plus an interactive Empathy Map with multimedia student entries. Filmmaking workshop and/or documentary screenings also included.

October 2026

3rd partner meeting

Meeting connected to the immersive media and VR education phase.

Autumn 2026

Phase 4: Immersive Media & VR Education

Action 4: “Virtual Library” hosted by Khora ApS. Participants: 50 educators in immersive storytelling projects for empathy and democratic participation. Deliverables include a VR tool for educators and students to create student VR micro-documentaries, plus a 3D Virtual Library as an online exhibition of transnational stories.

April 2027

4th partner meeting

Meeting linked to participatory immersive storytelling and the next implementation stage.

Action 5: “Virtual Agora”

Participatory workshop by AGIFODENT with 10 educators and 50 students. Deliverables include student VR micro-documentaries and the Virtual Agora online collection.

May–October 2027

Phase 5: Policy & Community Engagement

Final dissemination and community engagement phase, including the final presentation within the framework of the Chania Film Festival.

October 2027

5th partner meeting & final presentation

5-day international festival with 16 student documentaries, a Youth Democracy Stage, and a Policy Roundtable with 30+ participants. Reach: 5,000 on-site participants and 20,000 online viewers. Deliverables include a report of policy proposals and memoranda of cooperation with cultural and educational institutions.

EDU-DOCS brings together organisations from across Europe with expertise in education, social inclusion, media literacy, cultural work, immersive storytelling, and teacher development. Through this partnership, the project builds a strong collaborative framework for documentary-based learning in schools.
